Heat Treatment
Many metals do not have the required mechanical properties when they come from the steel mill or after casting. To obtain a certain strength (mechanical properties) a Heat Treatment is required to give the metal part it's required strength.
Each material requires a special Heat Treatment according to the required mechanical properties. Some metals also require a special cooldown procedure to obtain certain mechanical properties.
PremaTec has experience in Heat Treatment of all kinds of metals uncluding different kinds of cool down procedures.
PremaTec is happy to help you identify the most suitable materials and heat treatment process for your metal parts.
Advantages of Heat Treating:
Durability
Improved mechanical properties
Surface Treatment
After Heat treatment there will be a oxide layer on the surface. This oxide layer will be removed by a surface treatment. Depending on the specific material and its requirements the most suitable surface treatment will be selected,
Surface treatments can be performed in different ways, examples of surface treatment are: Sand blasting, Shot blasting, Glass beam blasting, Laser cleaning, Acid or chemical baths, Coatings, Hot Dip Galvanising, Nitriding, Carburization, or a combinations of multiple surface treatments.
Advantages of Surface Treating:
Durability
